ONCOLOGIST
DR THIEN HSIANG (“Hsiang”) TAN
undertook his medical studies in the University of Melbourne, Victoria and completed his specialist training in medical oncology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital Cancer Centre (RAHCC) in Jan 2010.

On gaining his fellowship he was immediately appointed a full time staff specialist at the RAHCC where he has developed a large practice focusing primarily in the treatment of genitourinary cancers (prostate, bladder and kidney cancers).

 

During his time at the RAHCC, he has acted as the Principle Investigator in international an collaborative trials in prostate and renal cancer.

Dr Tan is a dedicated clinical tutor to medical students from the University of Adelaide and a clinical mentor to medical oncology trainees. He joined Adelaide Cancer Centre in May 2014.

INEGRATIVE MEDICINE GP
DR SINCLAIR BODE
graduated from medicine at Adelaide University in 1986 and has continuously undertaken further education including hypnotherapy, acupuncture, Chinese medicine and prolotherapy.

 

He was introduced to Nutritional and Environmental Medicine in 1997 and this change in direction enabled him to further increase his repertoire of tools, to aid in the treatment of a variety of complex conditions. Dr Bode has lectured for ACNEM, Mindd, Cancer Care Centre, Chronic fatigue association and Autism SA.

 

He has worked as a Director, an Integrative General Practitioner in the Adelaide Hills location of Stirling for many years.

 

More recently Dr Bode has focused his practice on Integrative Medicine allowing him to again take new patients and to help more families confronted with complex medical problems. His areas of particular interests include, but are not limited to: Autism, Cancer, Chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Heavy Metal Toxicity, neurological conditions, mental health and complex medical problems.

PROSTATE CANCER NURSE
SOPHIE OTTO
prostate cancer specialist nurse at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, has provided support and information at a time when it is easy to overlook questions during the stress of seeing specialists. She was only the second prostate specialist nurse in the state, following one at Flinders Medical Centre, providing care co-ordination and a point of contact.
