Progress community life in the parks, gardens and streets of North Adelaide whilst preserving our history and enthusing about the future.

Let’s collaborate and put more Life into Living in the parklands, gardens and main streets of North Adelaide.

Progress community safety and mobility through the use of smart lighting and transport technologies.

Utilize latest LED technology to deliver Illumination to our streets and parks for more safety and usability as a major priority.

Progress existing community sports and recreation facilities for all the including disabled.

With some of the World's best sports and recreation facilities we need to develop and enhance them to encourage more use by more people, especially women and those with disabilities.

Progress main streets like Melbourne and O'Connell into vibrant community hubs for all in collaborations between residents and local businesses.

Use technology, including effective free Wi-Fi as an enabler to local businesses and their customers.

Progress with the latest tools, trends and technologies to benefit ALL - including aged, families, students & businesses

We need to focus on the solutions of the future now - Autonomous Vehicle technology and Robotics can deliver a diverse range of efficient mobility solutions to be deployed within North Adelaide and links the wider Adelaide area.

Community Life

Mobility and Safety

North Adelaide is blessed with beautiful Parks and Gardens. But today too many are vacant paddocks with no life, often leased to organisations and not available to us.  There needs to be places for kids and others to enjoy the great outdoors - for older people to exercise and enjoy their local environment. Its time to collaborate with the community and maximise what we already have

For example, Yoga and Tai Chi for the ageing, Mountain Biking and Cross Country running for the more active.  These are some of the activities I would like to bring life to the living in North Adelaide.

We have great World Class facilities like Adelaide Oval and Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on our doorstep.

We have many ageing facilities throughout the parklands that need updating and made accessible to encourage all for greater use and enjoyment. A free bus should run to the Swimming Centre.

Lets make the Parklands a connector of us all

Technology is moving fast as we know.  It is now beyond time to plan for it ... Its time to implement solutions that benefit the residents and visitors.

There are trials about to happen in Renmark and Elizabeth using Autonomous Shuttles to enhance mobility and link with existing transport.

The latest in LED Solar powered lighting could be used to make our parks and streets safer and also enhance the usage of parks well into the evening.

Mainstreets

Our main streets can and should be vibrant community hubs that also draw people to the area to support our businesses.

Technology and data can be a great enabler.  Free reliable Wi Fi is a start and using our streets to trial business engagement tools and technologies being developed in our Universities would deliver Adelaide’s aspirations to be a Smart City and a city that embraces Entrepreneurs and Innovators.

Main streets are replacing shopping centers around the world as the places to deliver the retail and entertainment experiences people are looking for - where the online world integrates with the bricks and mortar world.

And then there is 88 O’Connell Street what an opportunity to develop an Iconic Building for the future.
